Tynedale K9 Hydrotherapy has a Canine Hydrotherapy pool that is:

• 3.5m long, 2m wide
• 1.2m deep
• Fitted with resistance jets (used as your dog’s fitness improves)
• Heated to a constant 24 to 30 degrees Celsius
• Chlorine treated
• Both sand and U.V Filtered

Underwater K9 Treadmill
Tynedale K9 Hydrotherapy is the first rehabilitation centre in the UK to introduce the Physio-Tech Underwater K9 rehabilitation treadmill.

Overpool  Hoist. This enables us to handle disable dogs, spinal injuies etc in a pool environment.                                                                               

We have worked closely with the manufacturers to provide a facility that can accommodate both large and small dogs without placing any restrictions during the rehabilitation programme.

The hydrotherapy treatment provides buoyancy; reducing dead weight and enabling your dog to get a low-impact, but effective workout.

Pool Hygiene
The pool water is tested 3 times a day to ensure complete hygiene and our records are available to view at any time; providing you with complete peace of mind.

Health and Safety
Tynedale K9 Hydrotherapy gives Health and Safety the highest priority. The following facilities and procedures are in place:

• The pool is accessed by an internal non-slip stainless steel ramp
• All dogs enter the pool wearing either a buoyancy aid or a harness; no matter how strong a swimmer
• An electronic over-pool hoist is used to assist the movement of all disabled dogs in and out of the pool; reducing stress and ensuring correct alignment of spine and limbs
• A blaster dryer is used to ensure dogs are not wet when they leave our premises
• Veterinary scales are used to monitor the weight of the dog
